Introducing Crescent’s very own newsletter.
Dear friends of Crescent,
Thank you so much for your continued support.
If you’re reading this, it’s because you’re passionate about seeing Southern California student startups thrive.
Supporting the student startup ecosystem is our mission at Crescent Fund – SoCal’s 1st student-run VC. As SoCal students ourselves, we know that Southern California is rife with untapped entrepreneurial potential, especially compared to the Bay Area or East Coast. We’re driven to change that.
Not just through capital, but also through culture and community. With this newsletter, we’re here to shed light on the hottest entrepreneurial happenings at our respective campuses, highlight themes Gen Z is following closely, and keep you updated with what’s new at Crescent (& share a few relevant job/internship opps on the side!). We’re here to inform, connect, support, and excite.
If you have any ideas about how we could improve this newsletter, please email us at ops@crescentfund.vc – and if you like what you see, we’d love it if you could share this with others. Hope you’ll enjoy!
Sincerely,
Some scrappy kids who won’t give up on #LongLA

What's happening at Crescent?
We just kicked off our Fall 2021 Term at the start of the month, featuring our most eclectic cohort to date! New partners include a member of Caltech's girls’ varsity tennis team, a UCLA Anderson MBA Candidate who left banking in his home country of the U.K. to go all-in on SoCal's tech scene, and a Nigerian immigrant + self-taught-programmer-turned-Microsoft-intern currently building the next big influencer analytics platform out of his Pitzer dorm. And that's just the tip of the iceberg... Thanks for reading through; be sure to follow us for more :)
Well, that is it for this week. Talk soon!
Signing off,
Crescent Fund
